Michael Abraham joined the life insurance industry as a financial consultant in 1980. He held senior sales consultant positions with Hambro and then the Target and was the top performing consultant 1985-1987. During those years he specialized in executive benefits, pension planning and commercial lending.
In 1990 Michael began selling individual secondary UK life policies (TEPs) as well as providing bespoke products using TEPs. In 1995 he co-founded the Shepherds Group. Under his guidance Shepherds became the leading innovator in the Traded Policy market.
In 2002 Shepherds moved into the nascent Traded Life Policy (Life Settlement policies) market. Again, being first to produce a mutual fund available through international financial advisors, supplying expat advisors and working with and through offshore tax havens, notably the Caymans, Hong Kong, Singapore and Bahamas.
Making a lifestyle change in 2010 Michael moved to New York City and in 2011 founded IDF offering Private Placement Life Insurance (PPLI) as a means of deferring and reducing taxes. This business was 'mothballed' until 2020 when, with the pandemic, and the new government, signalling an inevitable increase in taxes, the business was relaunched. In May 2022 he and his team merged with 5th Avenue Solutions and are now helping them develop existing and new leads for PPLI and Premium Funded Life Insurance products.
It is hard to imagine a more effective, legitimate, tax planning tool than the combination of PPLI and Premium Funded Life insurance policies. 5th Avenue provide wealthy individuals and their advisors with the information, support and expert partners they need to maximize the opportunity this presents.

Louis D. Zuckerbraun
Mr. Zuckerbraun is based in Zurich, Switzerland and is the Managing Director of Geneva Insurance Group (Barbados) and Geneva International Insurance Inc., member companies of the Geneva Insurance Group. The Group provides private placement insurance solutions for High-Net-Worth clients worldwide. His primary responsibilities include insurance product sales and development, and management of the insurance Companies.
He was previously Managing Director of the Bermuda based Valor Management and prior to that co-CEO of a Swiss life and annuity company, Zenith Vie, that provided traditional life, savings, and annuity products to Swiss and international clients. He was one of the founding partners of the Crown Global group of insurance Companies in Bermuda, Grand Cayman and Delaware and held the position of Managing Director.
He was a former partner of swisspartners Wealth Management, Zurich and former Director of swisspartners Insurance Company, Grand Cayman. Prior to this position, he was founder and CEO of Private Risk Solutions AG and prior to this held the position of Chief Underwriter, Trans Re Zurich (an AIG Company). He has also held positions as an Underwriter with Transatlantic Re in London and Hannover Re in Hannover, Germany.
Mr. Zuckerbraun has a B.A. degree from the University of Southern California and an M.B.A. degree from Pepperdine University. Mr. Zuckerbraun also holds the CPCU and ARe designations from the Insurance Institute of America and has been a teacher/coach for the Insurance Institute of Switzerland (IIS).
